In September, 2025 I visited Vietnam and stayed at a beautiful beachfront resort in Hoi An called The Pearl, Hoi An. It was so amazing and I loved staying there!

The Pearl is situated a short 10 minute drive from Hoi An Ancient town at the quiet northern end of An Bang Beach.
It is only a 30 minute drive from Danang International Airport and we got there easily by private transfer, which my mum organised in advance.
The Pearl have a shuttle bus to take people in and out of Hoi An Ancient town several times each day from 2pm to 6pm and when we stayed later than 6pm we just caught a Grab ride home after dinner, which was very cheap and easy to do.

I was travelling with my mum, dad and sister. When we arrived the staff were very welcoming and friendly and told us all about the resort and what we could do there. Someone took us to our room and showed us around. We stayed in a very spacious and beautiful air-conditioned two bedroom apartment that had amazing views of the ocean and the pool. There is a lift we took to get to our apartment and there are lots of ramps around the resort so you can avoid stairs.

Our apartment had a great kitchen with a big fridge and microwave and a nice table and chairs to sit on.

When we arrived at The Pearl there was a lovely platter of fruit, a beautiful bunch of flowers and a nice message welcoming us. Part of our accommodation package was 5 items of laundry for free each day we stayed. It was very useful and we enjoyed having clean clothes.

There was a large container of drinking water for us to use.

We also got some great vouchers for dinners and massage packages to use while we were staying. There is a very good mini-mart shop at the resort where we bought snacks and drinks and ice-creams that were very cheap. We got room service one night and I had a burger that was very delicious.

There were two very comfortable beds for us to sleep in, one was a King bed and one was Queen bed and the rooms were very big with nice cupboards and plenty of hanging space. I think the beds at The Pearl were the nicest ones we slept in for our whole month-long holiday in Asia. I give them a 5 star rating!

The bathrooms both had lovely rain showers and were very clean and modern and had lovely bath products to use.

There was a safe for us to use and umbrellas and a torch.

We had an awesome view from our bedroom windows and we had a small balcony to sit on too.

There is a great pool to swim in at The Pearl with lots of sections and the water was lovely and warm.

There is even a waterslide to go on.

I really liked relaxing on the sunlounge chairs that are all around the pools and we sat on lots of them each day because we kept moving to swim in different parts of the pool. It is great because there are umbrellas that gave us shade so we could stay cool and didn't get sunburnt.

There are also lots of tables and chairs to sit on and the lovely Seabreeze Pool Bar where you can get some drinks and snacks to eat by the pool. They sell beef sliders, chips, chicken wings, pizza, pork belly, nachos and tacos and milkshakes and smoothies as well as cocktails and beer and wine.

The food and drinks are very nice and very cheap. I really liked the mocktails and hot chips.

It is also great that you can sit and enjoy your drinks while looking at the ocean.

There were very nice toilets by the pool and they were accessible to wheelchairs with a ramp.

We stayed in this block of apartments on the 3rd floor and had a nice corner room.

There are lots of chairs to sit on around the resort so you can sit and chill out if you want to.

I really liked these lovely Vietnam flags.

In front of the resort is An Bang beach and you only have to walk down a few steps to get to it. They have lovely sunlounge chairs to sit on and a lifeguard is there to watch over the people who want to go swimming. My dad and sister liked swimming there.

I loved going for walks on the beach to see the nice views and the other resorts that are nearby. There are also a lot of cafes and restaurants that you can walk to.

There is a children's playground at the resort that has small slides and play equipment for young kids. There is a very nice swing to sit on, which we all liked using.

I love this awesome sign that is at the resort. It's great for taking photos.

Included in our room price was an amazing buffet breakfast each morning at The Pearl Zone restaurant. There was so much food and it was delicious!

Everything was very clean and they kept bringing out lovely fresh dishes all the time.

I loved the bacon and sausages and the tropical fruit.

Every morning I had a very wonderful omelette made by this lovely lady and she was so very kind and friendly to me.

The reception of the hotel is very lovely and spacious with lots of areas to sit and rest if you are waiting. The Pearl also has a great Fitness center, Kids Zone area, Tennis courts and recreation activities such as Volleyball, Pickleball and Beach Football that you can participate in if you choose. There is also the Healing Pearl Spa where you can have a massage treatment, spa experience, visit the sauna or have your nails done, like my mum did.

While we were there we met so many very nice staff members and they were all friendly and very helpful. They would book us onto the shuttle bus and give us advice about things to see and do in Hoi An. This was one of the managers who thanked us for staying and she gave me a lovely fan to take home.

We loved going into the Ancient town of Hoi An each afternoon around 5pm once it had cooled off a bit as it was very hot in the daytime. There are lovely old buildings to see and lots of shops and restaurants to visit. There are also lots of tailors to go to if you want to get some clothes made.

We really liked the amazing lanterns that hang everywhere and we bought one to take home to hang up. You can even do a class to make your own.

At night you can go on a boat on the river to see all the pretty lanterns.

We got some really cool hats Hoi An too.

We ate lots of yummy food in Hoi An and the Mix Greek food restaurant was my favourite restaurant where I had chicken skewers and chips and pita bread with salad and a very nice banana and chocolate dessert. The staff were very nice to us there.

I really enjoyed staying at The Pearl, Hoi An and I would recommend it to anyone who is going to Hoi An. The staff were very nice and the rooms were excellent. The pool was amazing and the position right on the beach was awesome! I would love to go back there again one day.
Tips from my travelling companion -
Set right on the An Bang beachfront in beautiful Hoi An, The Pearl, Hoi An delivers an unforgettable stay from the moment you arrive! Its prime position offers stunning ocean views, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and luxurious getaway. Our two-bedroom apartment was spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean, while the manicured and picturesque gardens add to the sense of calm and luxury throughout the property.
The pool area is a standout—perfect for unwinding with a view and right next to the beach. The buffet breakfast was everything you could ask for and a highlight of each day. The staff were determined to make sure we were well fed and satisfied with the whole experience and on multiple occasion checked in to see if we had any recommendations on how to improve in any way.
The resort was never overcrowded either and there was plenty of room to enjoy all the hotel had to offer without feeling like there were too many other guests in the way. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the staff: consistently friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. They were very supportive of Flynn and offered him help with a smile and respectful manner. This consideration did not go unnoticed.
Combining comfort, beauty, and exceptional service, this beachfront gem catered for everyone and definitely offers incredible value for money and is a place I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Hoi An.
