In December, 2021 I went to Broadbeach at the Gold Coast for our family holiday. We go to the Gold Coast almost every year and we love staying there. For the last few years we have stayed in an awesome apartment at Bel Air. It is a privately owned apartment and you can find it on Airbnb. It is hosted by Rebecca and Patricia and my whole family love staying there.
It is a very big apartment with incredible views from every room. There are 3 big bedrooms with a lot of beds.
There is a very nice kitchen with lots of cupboards and a nice big fridge and freezer and lots of things you can cook with. There is even a toastie maker and a coffee machine too.
The loungeroom and dining area is lovely with lots of couches and chairs and it is very big.
There are 2 bathrooms and a laundry and a very nice entry.
Rebecca's apartment is very clean and it smells very nice. There are lots of cupboards and drawers in the bedrooms and in the bathrooms so you can hang up your clothes and put your things away. I really like the bathroom with the shower because it has a very big window and you can look at the lovely view of Pacific Fair shopping centre and the mountains when you are in the shower.
The other bathroom is very nice too and it has a spa and it is big enough for two people to get in.
There is air-conditioning and if you open the big doors in the living area there is always a nice cool breeze. There are also throw rugs on the couches so if it is cold you can use them to keep warm.
It is very quiet in the apartment at night when you shut the doors and it is easy to sleep there without any sounds of traffic or lifts opening and there are nice blinds that keep the sun out so you can sleep in.
My favourite part of this apartment is big balcony because I love sitting at the table there having my breakfast and lunch and looking at the view of the ocean and the other apartment buildings. There is also a sun lounge on the balcony and it is great to sit there and relax or read a book.
When we first arrive at Bel Air Patricia always meets us downstairs near the reception and gives us the key fobs and she is very nice to us. When it was our first stay she showed us around the apartment. There is a folder in the apartment that gives you information and If you need any help you can text her and she will help. She makes sure the apartment is always very nice and clean and that everything is working.
Sometimes the rainbow lorikeets come and sit on the balcony and they are very pretty. We really like watching them.
There is a great gym at Bel Air with lots of good equipment to use like the treadmill, rowing machine, and a multi fitness station and I went there every day with my dad and brother.
The pools are very nice too and there are two big pools outside and a heated spa and there is also a heated pool inside. We went swimming every day and I loved sitting around the pool on the sun lounges with my mum and sitting in the spa.
Bel Air also has a cafe and you can get some food and drinks like milkshakes and smoothies there. I liked getting a smoothie and taking it out by the pool.
We cooked some BBQ's there and the BBQ'sre always very clean.
The gardens at Bel Air are beautiful and there is always someone working to look after them. Everything is very clean and neat.
The lifts at Bel Air are very nice and they are not very crowded. We hardly ever had to wait long for a lift and they are very fast.
Every day we walked to the beach and had a swim and a nice long walk along the beach and it only takes 5 minutes to walk there.
The Gold Coast tram is called The G:Link and the Broadbeach South stop is just across the road from Bel Air. We like to catch The G:Link to Surfers Paradise and it is a fun ride there. You can also catch it all the way to Main Beach, Southport or Helensvale or lots of stops in between. It is a great way to get around the Gold Coast and they accept the Companion card too. There are also a lot of restaurants that you can walk to in Broadbeach. Some of our favourites are the Kurrawa Surf club, The Broadbeach Tavern, Mario's, The Peacock Inn, and The Lamb Shop. Underneath Bel Air there is a Pizza Hut takeaway shop and next door there are Thai and Indian restaurants.
You can park your car in the underground car park for free and it is very safe there.
Wifi is provided free in the apartment and there are books you can read and DVD's you can watch.
I would definitely recommend this apartment to stay in and if you would like to find out how to stay there you can find it on Airbnb listed as 'Stunning Sub Penthouse - Broadbeach - Gold Coast There are 71 other reviews to read there and you can contact Rebecca and ask her any questions you may have.
Tips from my travelling companions -
As Flynn has stated our family has stayed in Rebecca's beautiful apartment several times now and each time it is an absolute delight. The apartment is spacious, meticulously clean, well-equipped and in a fantastic position. being close to Pacific Fair, the Broadbeach shops, local restaurants and the beach. As a family of 5 we definitely appreciate the size of the living area, the bedrooms and the balcony, as well as the quality of the furnishings and decor of this stunning apartment. The kitchen is huge, with lots of cupboards and bench space, a full oven and large fridge/freezer and dishwasher. We were easily able to cook our breakfasts, lunches and dinners as there are so many pots/pans/appliances to use. The owner, Rebecca and hostess, Patricia make every effort to accommodate your needs and are fully contactable for any requests/problems you may have. Staying in this apartment truly feels like home!
The facilities at Bel Air are outstanding too. The pools are extremely clean and well maintained, as are the BBQ's, the gardens and the gymnasium. I have no hesitation in recommending this amazing sub-penthouse apartment as one of the best places we have ever stayed in Broadbeach.
